Benefits

Many scientific studies show that eating meat from grass-fed animals is healthier than conventional grain-fed meat.

Grass-fed meats are:

  • Higher in Vitamins A and E
  • Higher in Omega-3 fatty acids
  • Higher in Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)

Vitamins A and E are powerful antioxidants, and a high dietary intake of Vitamin E has been shown to reduce the risk of coronary artery disease. Omega-3 fatty acids, commonly called “good fats”, can reduce the risk of heart attack and have shown to reduce the risk of cancer in laboratory studies. CLA’s have also shown to reduce the risk of cancer in laboratory studies and are considered by many to be our most potent defense against cancer.

We refuse to use antibiotics which are ending up in our water supply and contributing to the persistence of antibiotic-resistant “super bugs.” In addition, our animals are raised without the use of growth hormones which studies have shown can disrupt human hormone balance, causing developmental problems, interfering with the reproductive system, and even leading to the development of breast, prostate or colon cancer. The European Union has banned meat containing growth hormones since 1988, but the U.S. and Canada have failed to follow suit.

We know our customers are discerning and we are proud to provide a superior product that trumps the conventional.
