Jeff Downs

Jeff Downs grew up outside of Montrose and graduated from Ridgway High School in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, where he studied conventional animal husbandry and food safety. This led him to search for more sustainable and humane practices of raising animals.

After discovering the model of pastured poultry and visiting the farm of Joel Salatin in Virginia, Jeff decided to pursue the sustainable agriculture model for its various benefits to your health, the animal’s welfare and the environment alike. He is proud to provide his community with a high quality product and hopes to collectively work towards raising the standard of what we consume and how we impact our surroundings.
